The Photographer

I was born in Toronto, Canada in 1950 and am a retired photographer and graphic designer. I now spend my time doing my own personal work, which presently involves photographing urban settings with a leaning toward the abstract. Over time I will be including a wider variety of collections and information.

Abstract

Sometimes called non-objective, experimental or conceptual photography, is a means of depicting a visual image that does not have an immediate association with the object world and that has been created through the use of photographic equipment, processes or materials.
My own attraction to abstract photography lies in the sense of mystery and visual intrigue it creates.

Geo

I view Geometrics as the structured, ordered side to the often free-flow nature of abstract. They are certainly not mutually exclusive.

Minimalism

Minimalism images present the clean, uncluttered experience of few visual elements with the most vtsual imact.

Plant World

Plants are in a world of their own, and there’s way more to engage a photographer than pretty coloured flower petals.

The Natural World

One definition of art is that it’s humanity’s answer to the work of nature. What better place to spend one’s time?
